Important Note We are pleased to share with you some exciting news! We're making a number of improvements to Portola Hotel & Spa that will continue our transformation into a conference and destination resort. At the forefront is a completely new, expanded spa and exercise facility, which we believe will be the finest in Monterey.  The new 5,000 plus square foot spa will feature 10 luxuriously appointed treatment rooms including a couples massage room, a full-service salon offering a range of health, beauty and healing therapies, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and a completely separate fitness center with cardio and strength equipment.  Considerable care has been taken to do this with a minimum of inconvenience for our guests. The Spa on the Plaza will continue to offer a full range of massages, facials, and other services in specially designated and decorated Spa Treatment Rooms in the Hotel while the new Spa facility is built.  The new Spa reception area is already complete, and offers body and facial products that are available for purchase so that you may continue your Spa experience at home.   While the Spa is being built, we are also going to renovate the pool area.  We anticipate that both of these projects will be complete by early summer.   Our long time guests will recognize that our name has changed.  We've done this to reflect the revitalization of our hotel, and our commitment to providing you with top quality service will remain our highest priority.
