The Portola Hotel & Spa Welcomes Executive Chef Danny Abbruzzese

Inspired by his Italian heritage and many travels, Executive Chef, Danny Abbruzzese has created his own, unique style of unpretentious cooking. From sea to table, farm to fork, Chef Abbruzzese sources the finest locally grown and sustainable ingredients here at the Portola Hotel & Spa. Over the last two decades he has worked at many of the premier properties along California’s Central Coast, including, the Highlands Inn, Quail Lodge, Monterey Peninsula Country Club and two organic restaurants in Santa Cruz. Most recently, he assisted in the revamping of Aramark’s Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, California. Ideal for any occasion, Jacks Restaurant & Lounge offers the finest local cuisine the Central Coast has to offer. Sit down for breakfast or dinner on our outdoor patio or indoors in our comfortable fireside dining room.

Located behind the Portola Hotel & Spa, Peter B's Brewpub is Monterey's original craft brewery.  Serving award winning craft beers and great pub food in a warm, friendly atmosphere. While you’re enjoying your meal or sipping on a brew, catch all the action on 18 HDTV's or enjoy a brew outside next to a fire pit on the pet friendly patio!

Portola Hotel & Spa Thanksgiving

Thursday, November 24, 2016, 11am to 5pm

Join us at the Portola Hotel & Spa in our grand ballroom for a traditional Thanksgiving feast.  Indulge in a spectacular display including California cheeses and cured meats, peel and eat shrimp, carved to order turkey, prime rib and maple glazed country ham, whipped potatoes, candied garnet yams and more including a decadent dessert display with classic pecan and pumpkin pie.

In addition to our Thanksgiving buffet, guests will enjoy live piano by Dave Conley in the ballroom and the football games will be featured in the foyer for all the highlights and game day action.
