Recipe: Chef Carl’s BBQ Spare Ribs
If you are getting ready for a Memorial Day barbecue this weekend, and need a bit of inspo, our very own, Chef Carl has your back! Impress your guests with Chef’s famous, Barbecued Spare Ribs – cooked LOW and SLOW!

Chef Carl’s Barbecued Spare Ribs

1 Rack of Spare Ribs
Teriyaki Marinade
2 Tbsp. Salt
2 Tbsp. Black Pepper
1 Tbsp. Onion Powder
1 Tbsp. Chili Powder

Basting Sauce
1 Cup of Soy Sauce
½ Cup Brown Sugar
¼ Cup Onion
½ Cup Water
Cook for five minutes and then remove from stove/heat.
Chopped parsley; optional for garnish

1. Take the membrane off of the ribs, then rub the teriyaki sauce over the ribs.
2. Mix all of the dry ingredients together. Rub on both sides of the ribs. Heat the grill to 250 degrees and cook the ribs slowly, turning every 30 minutes for 4 hours.
3. Start basting, turning every 10 minutes for 40 minutes.
4. Add your favorite BBQ sauce to the ribs. Turn every 5 minutes for 20 minutes. Take off the grill and enjoy! Garnish with chopped parsley (optional).
