Monterey's Portola Hotel & Spa offers a variety of unique meeting options. Choose from traditional well-lit conference rooms to modern dining spaces, outdoor courtyards and heated patios. You will find the ideal space to create a balance of attendee engagement and their wind down time.
Abundant Outdoor Spaces at Portola
Jacks Terrace – Our newest setting is complete with living walls, bistro lighting, rectangular fire pits and relaxed seating. Jacks Terrace feels like an urban rooftop lounge on the ground, overlooking Custom House Plaza and swaying masts in the harbor. Welcome up to 150 people for a reception on Jacks Terrace.
Cottonwood Plaza – Set on our third floor, this open air, outdoor plaza is connected to the Cottonwood Room and can host up to 200 guests for a reception or 120 for lunch.
Memory Garden – This breathtaking garden setting is surrounded by historic adobes; accommodating large or small groups for luncheons and dinners for 300, or receptions for 500.
Upper Custom House & Bocce Courts – This unique outdoor space is quintessential Monterey. Set amongst historic gardens and adobes, surprise your guests with a Bocce tournament! Just add a craft beer or wine tasting paired with our interactive buffet stations; your attendees will create the fun and games.
Private Dining Rooms with Added Outdoor Space
The Club Room – Our elegant dining room has the vibe of a luxurious yacht club for up to 220 guests or a private dining room with a wine cellar enhancement; which can accommodate up to 22. Take in the sea air and enjoy the heated patio for 40 and a circular, oversized fire pit.
Peter B's Brewpub – Home to Monterey's original craft brewery and numerous awards, Peter B's features a casual Barrel Room inside the brewpub for up to 16 guests. Or, invite up to 180 to enjoy a buyout with 16 flat screens for sports mania and outdoor space featuring a heated patio with four fire pits.
