Adopt a Dog or Cat with AFRP
Animal Friends Rescue Project (AFRP) will be onsite with adorable cats and lovable dogs searching for their forever homes. Stop by to meet adoptable pets, speak with the AFRP team, and learn more about the adoption process.
AFRP is dedicated to finding permanent homes for stray, abused, and abandoned companion animals throughout Northern California. As a foster-based rescue organization, AFRP places animals in loving temporary homes, allowing foster families to provide valuable insight into each pet’s personality and ideal home environment.

AFRP Adoption Process
- Visit the AFRP website and browse adoptable dogs or cats.
- Complete a free online adoption application at animalfriendsrescue.org.
- An AFRP Adoptions Manager will contact you to discuss potential matches.
- If it’s a good fit, AFRP will arrange a meet-and-greet with the foster family and pet.
- Final adoption steps include a quick home or lease verification before completing the adoption.
Adoption Fees
- Cats & kittens: $150
- Dogs & puppies: $300
All adopted pets are:
- Spayed or neutered
- Microchipped
- Current on vaccinations
