We are happy to have the honor of being the first of Central California “green” hotels, having achieved the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® Certification. Green Initiatives Highlights

  • Experience in executing zero waste conference and meetings for groups up to 900
  • Environmentally friendly vendor suggestions, as well as biodegradable badges and other green items
  • Actively participate in the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch® Program, designed to raise awareness about the importance of making ocean-friendly seafood choices

  • Landscaping featuring native and drought tolerant vegetation and drip irrigation controlled by weather conditions

  • Peter B’s Brewpub changed operations to save over 41,000 gallons of water a year and recycles mash from brewing the brewing process to local farmers and growers

At our Monterey Bay hotel we offer a number of eco-friendly guest room amenities, have experience hosting green meetings as well as partner with local organizations such as Save Our Shores and The Offset Project. Through The Offset Project individual guests have an opportunity to offset their carbon footprint from traveling to Monterey by purchasing carbon offsets through the Carbon Calculator.
