GETTING TO MONTEREY
Travel to the Portola Hotel & Spa and the Monterey Peninsula with a scenic drive along Highway 1 or fly direct into Monterey Regional Airport, just 10 minutes from our location downtown. Our Monterey hotel and conference center are less than two hours away from San Jose International Airport and San Francisco International Airport. Once you arrive, park your car and walk to nearby dining, shopping, and attractions like the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Easily get to our Monterey Bay hotel by car, bus, or airport shuttle service. Guests are encouraged to call the Monterey Shuttle Airbus or Yellow Cab Taxi service for transportation to and from the airports.
FREE MONTEREY SUMMER TROLLEY
Walk to Monterey's free trolley shuttle service, which operates during the summer, and takes you around town. The MST Trolley departs from the Downtown Parking Garages at Tyler Street and Del Monte Avenue every 10 to 15 minutes. Visit www.Monterey.org.
FLYING TO MONTEREY
- Monterey Peninsula Airport is 10 minutes from the Portola Hotel & Spa with more than 40 flights from American Airlines, United Airlines, Alaska Airlines, and Allegiant. Enjoy direct service from Dallas, Denver, San Diego, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Las Vegas.

- San Francisco International Airport is 105 miles away (approximately a one hour and 45-minute drive)

EV CHARGING STATIONS
Portola Hotel & Spa offers EV charging stations for public use in the hotel on-site parking garage. Pricing includes a fee per kilowatt per hour (KwH), in addition to Portola Hotel's standard parking rates.
The EV charging stations are compatible with the majority of electric vehicles. The EV Stations at the Portola Hotel & Spa are not compatible with Tesla connections. Guest charging a Tesla will require an adapter to charge.
Parking spaces designated for EV Stations are available for guests actively charging their vehicle.
Monterey Bay Directions
- From Monterey Peninsula Airport
- Exit Airport on to Highway 68 West
- Exit Highway 1 South and stay in the right hand lane for the next exit
- Exit the Monterey/Fisherman's Wharf exit
- At the first stoplight make a right hand turn onto Aguajito
- Continue on Aguajito until it ends at Del Monte Avenue
- Turn left on Del Monte Avenue and continue straight for three stoplights
- Be in the left lane at the third stoplight (road will split - do not enter the tunnel)
- Once through stoplight, hotel will be ahead, one block on right side
- From San Francisco or San Jose, CA to Hotel
- Take 101 South to the city of Prunedale
- Stay in right hand lane and look for the sign for Monterey Peninsula
- Exit on Highway 156 to 'Monterey Peninsula' (Highway156 will become Highway 1 South)
- Exit at Del Monte Avenue/Pacific Grove exit
- Continue straight on Del Monte Avenue for six stoplights
- Be in the left lane at the sixth stoplight (road will split - do not enter the tunnel)
- Once through stoplight, hotel will be ahead, one block on right side
- From East Bay San Francisco to Hotel
- Take Highway 92 or 84, depending on which part of East Bay you are driving from
- Take 101 South to the city of Prunedale
- Stay in right hand lane and look for the sign for Monterey Peninsula
- Exit on Highway 156 to 'Monterey Peninsula' (Highway156 will become Highway 1 South)
- Exit at Del Monte Avenue/Pacific Grove exit
- Continue straight on Del Monte Avenue for six stoplights
- Be in the left lane at the sixth stoplight (road will split - do not enter the tunnel)
- Once through stoplight, hotel will be ahead, one block on right side
- From Los Angeles/Southern CA to Hotel
- Take 101 North
- Take the 'Monterey Peninsula' exit which will bring you to Highway 68
- Turn left on Highway 68
- Exit on Highway 1 South
- Stay in right hand and lane and take first Monterey exit
- Turn right at the first stoplight at Camino Aguajito Avenue and continue until the road ends at Del Monte Avenue
- Turn left on Del Monte Avenue and continue straight for three stoplights
- Be in the left lane at the third stoplight (road will split - do not enter the tunnel)
- Once through stoplight, hotel will be ahead, one block on right side
- From Fresno, CA to Hotel
- Take Highway 99 North West to Chowchilla
- Take Highway 152 West to Los Banos over Pacheco Pass
- Turn left just past Casa de Fruita and take Highway 156 West to Hollister and San Juan Bautista
- Take 101 South to the city of Prunedale
- Stay in right hand lane and look for the sign for Monterey Peninsula
- Exit on Highway 156 to 'Monterey Peninsula' (Highway156 will become Highway 1 South)
- Exit at Del Monte Avenue/Pacific Grove exit
- Continue straight on Del Monte Avenue for six stoplights
