There are many trails to choose from easy leisurely strolls like the ADA-compliant Sand Hill Trail to more challenging trails like the North Shore Trail. As you walk the paths, keep your eyes peeled for sea lions, sea otters, and other wildlife. The Reserve is open 8am to 7pm daily, and has a vehicle entrance fee of $10 per car. 2. Garland Ranch Regional Park

Located less than 20 minutes away from the Portola Hotel & Spa, Jacks Peak Park offers a serene escape from the city. With over 8 miles of winding paths through forests, this park is a hiker's paradise. For an unforgettable experience, the Skyline Trail is a must-try, as it provides breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the bay. Additionally, visitors have a choice of 10 other trails, each showcasing the beauty of Monterey. To enter the park, there is fee of $2 per person and an additional $2 per dog.
