Halloween on the Wharf
Just a short 5 minute walk from the Portola Hotel & Spa is the Monterey famous, Old Fisherman's Wharf, and this year, they're putting on a spooky event for the whole family. On Sunday, Oct 31, 2021 from 4:00pm- 7:00pm come in costume and trick or treat at participating merchants. Also, enjoy a Halloween DJ, fun photo ops with spooky guests, and a costume contest at 5pm! Pumpkin Pandemonium at Del Monte Shopping Center
On Friday, Oct 29, 2021, Del Monte Shopping Center is holding their community trick or treat event for all ages. Candy and glow sticks will be handed out at designated stations, and free pumpkins will be available at their pumpkin patch! The Del Monte shopping center is only a 5-minute drive from the Portola Hotel & Spa so don't miss this fun event right after driving into town.
Carmel's 105th Birthday Party & Halloween Parade
Incorporated on October 31, 1916, our neighboring town, Carmel-by-the-Sea celebrates its birthday and Halloween each year with a parade! Locals and visitors gather for a fun event with city dignitaries, VIPs, and costumed dogs. After the parade, the downtown shops will be open for trick or treating and other fall festivities. Haunted House & Pumpkin Patch
During the month of October, you can visit a Haunted House put on by the Artichoke Festival on Fridays, Saturdays, and Halloween! This fun event is held at the Monterey County Fairgrounds where you can also visit the Cardinale & Wright Pumpkin Patch.
