At the Portola Hotel, we are committed to serving the best locally sourced ingredients including produce, meats, and seafood from throughout the Monterey Peninsula. We believe we cultivate delicious flavors, aromas, and textures of our menu offerings by sourcing the best possible ingredients. Our commitment to our guests and environment starts with the local purveyors and best practices in place by our culinary professionals:

  • We source produce from a variety of local farms within 45 miles or less of the hotel including Coke Farm, Jacobs Farm, Rondini Farms, Tanimura & Antle, and Christopher Ranch.
  • We are a proud member of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch® Program.
  • We own and operate an award-winning craft brewery, Peter B’s Brewpub. Peter B’s brewery operation has several sustainable practices in place and donates spent mash to local farmers for feeding livestock.
  • We select purveyors who have missions we stand behind. Our beef comes from Harris Ranch, who partners with progressive cattle ranchers who contribute to rangeland enhancement, protect watersheds, and help build wildlife ecosystems.
  • We proudly serve Monterey County wines, Monterey County is home to the SIPs program. SIPs (Sustainability-in-Practice) is a certification program many local wineries participate in receiving a certification.

Corporate Brewers Dinner

Enjoy a 3 to 4 course menu paired with craft beer from Portola Hotel’s onsite and award winning craft brewery, Peter B’s Brewpub. While your attendees savor menu and beer pairings, Executive Chef Danny Abbruzzese and Head Brewer Justin Rivard will share the inspiration behind each pairing and meet and mingle with your attendees. 

Take in the coastal air and experience a custom brewer’s dinner outdoors with craft beer and bocce.

Corporate Cooking Demonstrations
